Entry 6- Google Sketch up Model

In this image I have taken the major buildings in this area and made them 3-D. This is useful because it gives some perspective to the size and location of each building. So if we were to create a museum it you would be able to tell how big your building is compared to some of the others in that area.

This also helps to tell me what buildings are in the area. From the street view of the building site, you can only see what is on the same level around you. With the satalite view from Google Earth you can easily tell what other buildings are around, besides just the church and the school. From the above view you can tell that although there is a church and school near by, most of the area around the site is residential.

This also helps tell the total size of the building site. You can use this with Google Sketch-Up and create a model of your building, so you can see how big it might be.
